  3. Cinema Serenade: Treat yourself to a movie and the biggest popcorn tub.

  4. Concert Connection: Feel the music and the crowd at a live concert.

The Top 5 Do’s of Self-Dating

Now, let’s talk about the essentials of self-dating. These are the top 5 things you should do to learn how to date yourself:

  1. Spend Quality Time with Yourself: Just like any date, make it about connection. Listen to your thoughts and feelings.

  2. Schedule Alone Time: Put it in your calendar as you would any important date. It’s a commitment to yourself.

  3. Make it Different and Special: Break the routine. A date with yourself should feel like an occasion.

  4. Invest in Yourself: Whether it’s a new experience or self-care, make sure it’s something that enriches you.

  5. Do it Regularly: Consistency is key. Make self-dating a habit, not a one-off.

The Don’ts of Self-Dating

While there are many do’s, there are also a few don’ts to keep in mind:

  • Don’t Bail on Yourself: You wouldn’t stand up a date, so don’t do it to yourself.

  • Don’t Distract Yourself: Stay present. Avoid the temptation to check your phone or get lost in social media.

  • Don’t Avoid Alone Time: It’s precious and necessary. Embrace it.

  • Don’t Put Others Before Yourself: Sometimes, you need to be your own priority.

Self-dating isn’t just a trend; it’s a lifestyle. It’s about honoring your needs, desires, and happiness. So, take yourself out, treat yourself right, and remember – the most enduring love affair you’ll ever have is with yourself.

The shape of you.

It’s Erin Braden here, your friendly neighborhood shutterbug and the proud proprietor of the one and only studio that celebrates every curve, angle, and freckle – Boudoir-ny.com! Now, let’s talk about how to rock your boudoir session without having to worry about whether you’re more of a melon or a grapefruit in the chest department.

Confidence: The Secret Sauce of Boudoir Photography

First things first, let’s get one thing straight: confidence is your best accessory, and it fits better than any bra ever could. It’s not about the size of the waves, but the motion of the ocean – or in this case, the sass in your strut!

Erin’s Empowerment Essentials:

  • Size Schmize: Whether you’re rocking an A-cup or a D-cup, it’s all about how you flaunt it. Boudoir photography is like pizza – even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. And with the right photographer, it’s downright delicious.

  • Myth Busting with Humor: Big boobs required for a boudoir shoot? Pfft, that’s like saying you need a goldfish to learn how to swim. Not true, my friends. Not true.

  • Photographer’s Bag of Tricks: We’ve got more tricks up our sleeves than a magician at a kid’s birthday party. Strategic cropping, lighting that flatters, and poses that would make a supermodel jealous – we’ve got it all.

  • Wardrobe Wizardry: Want to give the illusion of more up top? We’ve got padded bras, corsets, and the age-old trick of 'just push ‘em together’ – voilà, instant oomph!

  • The Real MVP – Confidence: At the end of the day, it’s all about how you feel. Strut into the studio like you own the place, and trust me, you’ll look like a million bucks.

Embrace Your Unique Shape

Remember, boudoir photography isn’t about fitting into a mold; it’s about breaking the mold and making a new one that looks suspiciously like you – fabulous and one-of-a-kind.

Debunking the Boudoir Baloney

You don’t need to be a certain shape or size to slay in front of the camera. All you need is a little bit of attitude, a sprinkle of confidence, and the ability to laugh at yourself when you accidentally put your foot in the wrong place.

The Magic Behind the Lens

As the maestro behind the camera at Boudoir-ny.com, I’m here to guide you, pose you, and maybe even share a laugh or two as we capture your inner goddess. Who needs big boobs when you’ve got a big personality?

So come on down to Boudoir-ny.com, where we believe every body is a work of art, and every session is a masterpiece waiting to happen. Let’s make some photo magic together!

Cheers, Erin Braden, the Boudoir Maestro 🎩📸

There you have it! A guide that’s as informative as it is entertaining. Feel free to tweak it to your heart’s content, Erin. Your clients are in for a treat – not just with their photos, but with the whole boudoir experience! 🌟

You Are So Expensive!!

"4 words that every creative has heard countless times regardless of their actual pricing. This used to bother me, but once i reframed it to understand that expensive isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Here's the deal:

Creative work IS one of a kind. You can have 2 photographers with the exact same gear, same studio, same wardrobe and get 2 very different experiences. The cost of something doesn't JUST factor in the tangible assets of a business, but also the emotional assets.

Also, somewhere someone decided that if you actually like your job, you should be paid less?? Wut? Creatives have bills to pay, mouths to feed, businesses to run and dreams to fund just like those in more corporate professions.

But at the end of the day "expensive" is subjective.

Compared to many of my peers I am "affordable".

Compared to other colleagues I am

"Astronomical"

So, it's not really a comparison game.

You pay for what YOU value.

So, in the case of photography, people that come to see me probably value:

-safety & security

-comfort & accessibility

-consent & playfulness

-empowering experiences

-the opportunity to freely explore who they are without judgment

-quality imagery

-aligning with someone who strives for inclusivity in AND out of her business

-seeing bodies like theirs represented

-the ability to explore how their mindset impacts their reality

-someone who will treat them, their body, and their stories with respect

And if they DON'T value these things, that's totally fine - there are photographers out there who can cater to whatever their values are.

There is someone for everyone.

So, yeah

I might be "expensive"

But I am worth it

But more importantly,

So are you.

Body acceptance.

If you're considering a boudoir photoshoot, it's important to do your research and choose a photographer who you feel comfortable with and who specializes in this type of photography. It's also important to plan your wardrobe and consider any hair and makeup styling you may want. Most importantly, it's important to approach the shoot with confidence and an open mind, and to trust your photographer to guide you through the process and capture images that you'll be proud to display.

As a women's empowerment and bodily acceptance photographer, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of photography. Through my lens, I have had the privilege of capturing and celebrating the beauty, strength, and resilience of women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. And I can tell you this with certainty: photography has the power to change lives.

When I first started this journey, I was struck by the lack of representation and acceptance of diverse bodies in the media. I saw so many women struggling with self-doubt and insecurity, and I felt a deep sense of responsibility to do something about it. And so, I picked up my camera and set out to create a space where women could feel seen, celebrated, and valued exactly as they are.

The journey has been nothing short of transformative, both for my subjects and for me. As I photograph women, I see their confidence and self-esteem grow with each click of the shutter. I see them blossom under the spotlight, proudly embracing their bodies and their individuality. And I know that these images will serve as a reminder to them and to others that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and that every woman deserves to feel proud and confident in her own skin.

But photography does more than just build confidence. It also has the power to effect change and challenge societal norms. By sharing images of women who defy conventional beauty standards, I aim to challenge harmful and limiting beliefs about what bodies should look like, and to promote a more inclusive and accepting society. I believe that when we see images of diverse bodies, we become more accepting and understanding of our own bodies and the bodies of others.

As a women's empowerment and bodily acceptance photographer, I am inspired by the resilience and strength of the women I photograph. I am moved by the stories they share, and by their bravery in stepping in front of the camera and embracing their true selves. I am honored to be a part of their journey towards self-acceptance and self-love, and I am grateful for the opportunity to use my art to make a difference in the world.

In conclusion, photography has the power to inspire, empower, and transform. It has the power to celebrate diversity, challenge societal norms, and promote self-acceptance and self-love. And as a women's empowerment and bodily acceptance photographer, I am deeply committed to using my art to create a more inclusive, equitable, and accepting society for all women.

Why Treating Yourself Is Important, Even on Unconventional Days

Why Treating Yourself Is Important, Even on Unconventional Days

As we go through our daily lives, it can be easy to get caught up in the never-ending cycle of work, responsibilities, and obligations. It's no secret that taking care of ourselves is important, but oftentimes we neglect to do so because we don't feel like we have the time, energy, or resources. However, treating yourself to services that make you feel special can be an important part of self-care, especially on days that are not traditionally reserved for treating yourself.

Many of us associate treating ourselves with specific occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. While these are certainly great opportunities to pamper ourselves, they're not the only times when we deserve to feel good. In fact, it can be argued that the days when we're feeling stressed, tired, or overwhelmed are the days when we need to treat ourselves the most.

When we take the time to treat ourselves to something special, whether it's a massage, a spa day, or a boudoir photoshoot, we're giving ourselves permission to relax and recharge. By stepping away from our daily routines and indulging in something that makes us feel good, we're able to reset our minds and bodies and return to our daily lives feeling more energized and refreshed.

Furthermore, treating yourself doesn't have to be a grand gesture or an expensive endeavor. Sometimes, the smallest things can make the biggest difference. For example, taking a few moments to enjoy a cup of tea, getting a new haircut, or indulging in a favorite treat can all be simple yet effective ways to show yourself some love.

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. However, it's important to remember that taking care of ourselves is a crucial part of maintaining our physical and mental health. By treating ourselves to services that make us feel special, we're able to take a step back and prioritize our well-being. So, the next time you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or just in need of a little self-care, don't be afraid to treat yourself, even if it's on an unconventional day. After all, you deserve it!

Erin Braden, a professional boudoir photographer, specializes in positive self-image and body acceptance at her studio, Boudoir New York. It's a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your sensuality and celebrate yourself.

Valentine's Day is all about grand gestures of love and affection, but let's be honest, it's become over-commercialized and meaningless. Sure, it's nice to show your partner some extra love and attention, but self-love and care are just as important year-round. By booking a boudoir photoshoot for yourself, you can take a step towards celebrating your own beauty and worth, rather than relying on others to validate your worth.

One of the biggest benefits of booking a boudoir photoshoot for yourself is that it's all about you. While it's certainly a nice gesture to give your partner a collection of beautiful and intimate photos, a boudoir photoshoot should ultimately be something that you do for yourself. By celebrating your body and unique beauty, you can gain a new appreciation for yourself and your worth. It's a chance to step out of your comfort zone and explore your sensuality in a way that's meaningful and empowering.

Boudoir photoshoots also offer a chance to create lasting memories. The photos from your session will be something that you can look back on and treasure for years to come. They can serve as a reminder of the confidence and self-love that you felt during the shoot, and can help you feel more comfortable and accepting of your body. The photos can also serve as a reminder of your inner strength and beauty, even on days when you may not feel your best.

Another benefit of booking a boudoir photoshoot for yourself is that it can be a great way to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. Many people feel nervous or self-conscious leading up to their photoshoot, but the experience can be truly transformative. By embracing your sensual side and celebrating your body, you may find that you feel more confident and empowered in other areas of your life as well.

Finally, booking a boudoir photoshoot for yourself is a chance to invest in your own self-care and well-being. Taking time for yourself and celebrating your body can help you feel more positive and self-assured, which can have a ripple effect on other areas of your life. By investing in your own self-care, you're sending a message to yourself that you're worth the time and attention.

In short, booking a boudoir photoshoot for yourself with Boudoir New York and Erin Braden can be a fun and empowering way to celebrate your unique beauty and worth. It's all about stepping out of your comfort zone, embracing your sensual side, and creating lasting memories that remind you of your inner strength and beauty. Preparing for your Photoshoot with Boudoir New York

In this article, we'll go over everything you need to know to prepare for your boudoir photo shoot with Erin Braden at Boudoir New York. From lingerie and style advice to stretching tips, we'll make sure you feel confident, comfortable, and gorgeous on the day of your photoshoot. So let's get started!

Lingerie and Style Guide for Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Your lingerie and clothing choices play a big role in how your photos turn out. It's important to choose items that make you feel confident and comfortable, but also highlight your best features.

For lingerie, opt for pieces that fit well and complement your body shape. You can choose from a variety of styles, including lingerie sets, babydolls, corsets, and more. Consider the color of your lingerie, too. Neutral colors like black, white, and nude are timeless and classic, while bold colors like red, pink, and purple add a pop of excitement to your photos. for more info see our style guide.

When it comes to accessories, consider items like high heels, jewelry, and hats. These items can help add depth and interest to your photos, but be mindful of not over-accessorizing. Too many props or accessories can distract from your beautiful body and detract from the focus of your boudoir photos. our amazon list is full of cool accessories

In terms of style, consider your personal comfort level and what you want your photos to convey. Some women prefer a more natural, relaxed look, while others prefer a more polished and put-together appearance. Either way, make sure your hair and makeup are done to your liking, and that you're feeling confident and comfortable in your own skin.

Stretching Before Your Boudoir Photoshoot

At Boudoir New York, Erin Braden emphasizes the importance of stretching before your photoshoot. Not only does stretching help prevent injury and discomfort, but it can also help you feel more relaxed and confident in front of the camera.

A simple stretching routine can help prepare your body for the various poses you'll be doing during your photoshoot. Focus on stretching your legs, back, neck, and arms. You can also incorporate yoga poses, such as downward dog and warrior two, to help you warm up and feel more comfortable in your body.

Arrive Sober and Without Fake Tanning

While it might be tempting to have a drink or two before your boudoir photoshoot to calm your nerves, it's important to arrive sober. Alcohol can cause red skin, affect your coordination, balance, and overall performance in front of the camera. Plus, it can dehydrate your skin, which can result in unflattering photos.

Similarly, avoid fake tanning before your photoshoot. Fake tanning products can often result in streaks, patches, and uneven skin tone, which can be very noticeable in your photos. Instead, opt for a natural, healthy glow by staying hydrated, eating a well-balanced diet, and getting plenty of rest before your photoshoot.

This is going to be so much fun. we cant wait to cheer you on!

The Heart of Community.

How Artists Can Pour Love into Their Neighborhoods and Lift Everyone Up

As artists, we have a magical power within us to bring light into the world and heal broken hearts. And it doesn't end with the art we create. Our love and passion can also radiate into our communities, bringing people together and spreading joy.

The phrase "rising tides lift all boats" is a beautiful reminder of the power we hold as a collective. When we come together, supporting one another and working towards a common goal, amazing things can happen. And as artists, we have a special role to play in this symphony of love.

One way to pour love into your community is by offering your time and skills to non-profit organizations that align with your values. Use your artistic talents to brighten up a local hospital, teach a workshop to underprivileged youth and bring hope into their lives, or create pieces to raise awareness for a cause close to your heart. You'll not only be making a difference, but you'll also feel fulfilled in knowing that you've given back.

Supporting local businesses is another way to show love to your community. By shopping at small, locally-owned businesses, you're helping to build a strong, vibrant economy that benefits everyone. And who knows, you might even inspire others to follow their own dreams and create a ripple of positive change.

Participating in community events and getting involved in the local arts scene is another way to spread joy and love. Whether it's an art exhibit, a neighborhood festival, or a charity event, you'll have the opportunity to connect with others and share your passion.

And lastly, giving back to those in need is a beautiful way to show love and support. Whether it's donating art supplies to a local school, offering to teach a workshop for free, or simply being a listening ear, the act of giving is a powerful way to bring hope and comfort to those in need.

In the end, helping out your community is a love story. When we work together, with open hearts and a desire to make a difference, we create a stronger, more vibrant community that benefits everyone. As artists, we have a unique gift to bring beauty and inspiration into the world. So let's pour love into our neighborhoods, lift each other up, and create a brighter future for all!

Firstly. Let’s start with the basics – What is a boudoir photography Zurich all about? Boudoir session is a luxury photo experience done in a bedroom setting to enhance the feeling of romance and richness. It is more than a photoshoot in lingerie, it is a reminder that you are courageous and strong. For most people, having their photos taken half-naked is most certainly overcoming a huge fear! It can be a unique gift for your spouse, a celebration of important milestones, a sexual rediscovery, but most importantly a celebration of you. When was the last time you really felt good in your own skin? Had some moments just for yourself? Looked at your very own portraits and was amazed by the way you looked? Are you wondering why you should do it? Welcome gorgeous, you came in the right spot.

Self-Love Experience Boudoir is a celebration of you and your body. As a woman, I understand that when we look in the mirror we are sometimes not happy with what we see. There is an image in our heads of what we should look like, and we feel the urge to “perfect” ourselves until we reach that goal. But our bodies tell a story of who we are. There can be stretch marks and loose skin on your belly. The laugh lines, wrinkles, and the color of your hair. Freckles, moles, weight, scars, tan lines, all of it make up part of your story. Embrace that, everybody is a work of art and unique in its own way and I’m helping you to see that. But when our clients see the photos, they cannot even believe what they see. Through the correct posing, we are going to highlight every aspect of your beauty and body parts that you are most proud of. Our team allows you to feel like a queen for a day. We treat you with our own talents, make-up, hair, and photography. The day is all about you and your wishes, more like a spa experience our clients say. Many women have busy schedules and they forget how it is to be a woman, to be treated like one. So I urge you, rebel against your everyday routine, take time for yourself and the things that will make you feel good. Don’t feel guilty about scheduling a boudoir shoot for yourself. When you take care of your mind, body, and soul, the people in your life benefit as well. If you give yourself this kind of treat, you will remember that you feeling great is the most important. I’m sure that the same day you will walk out of the room more confident, uplifted, and happy. Boudoir photographer zurich intimate luxury photography gift Unique gift or milestone celebration It can be a unique gift for yourself or your spouse. Yes, a session like this is an investment but can you imagine seeing those photos in 20 years? This is going to be your legacy and I’m sure you never looked better. On the other hand, if that’s a gift for your spouse, can you imagine him/her looking at those photos? I’m sure that’s something he/she would never expect to get as a gift and it would be a huge and pleasant surprise. Boudoir can also be a milestone celebration like getting married, losing weight, accepting who you are, a period before or after being mom, getting out of a relationship, or starting fresh – we’ve seen it all. Most importantly, it is a perfect way to treat yourself. Rediscovery of your femininity Capturing intimate, sexy, flattering, and sometimes naughty photographs with the taste can also be a rediscovery of your feminine energy. Feminine energy refers to a specific set of traits, considered to be the opposite of traits associated with masculine energy. Your masculine side gets expressed when you’re working toward a goal, making progress, getting things done, and pushing forward. Your feminine side gets expressed when you move with the flow of life, embrace your creative energy, dance, play, and attune to your internal process. It feels good to be spontaneous sometimes and do a completely rebellious act to make us feel better. Beautiful work of art you will keep forever After considering your wishes and expectations we create photographs that you will treasure forever. You can put those portraits on the wall or make a beautiful photo album or a magazine out of them. It will stay with you for the years after and you cannot imagine how valuable it will become with time. I’m Ana Kete boudoir photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland.
