Growing up in a very conservative religious community, I saw firsthand how we as women were oppressed, made to feel that our bodies should not be seen. I saw first-hand how damaging that can be to our self-worth and vowed to do my part to help others feel beautiful and empowered through the art of Boudoir Photography. I have been A Photographer for over 20 years with Offices in Dutchess county and a studio in Orange County and has owned the Hudson Valley Boudoir Photography Studio in since 2014. after many years spent learning and teaching boudoir photography at rented studio spaces and in luxury hotel suites. we decided to raise the bar with a custom built studio space located in the historic Newburgh water front on the 5th floor of industrial building dating back to 1830s overlooking the Hudson river and Newburgh - Beacon bridge. the Boudoir studio was built to be solely focused on boudoir, self love, body positivity and female empowerment. We have everything required to provide a comfortable luxury boudoir experience, complete with onsite professional hair and makeup., a supportive comfortable atmosphere and a great time full of laughs and good vibes only!
we provide pre session help with choosing boudoir friendly outfits and have a small client closet on site with a few affordable one size fits most items available.

As a makeup artist for boudoir photoshoots in the Hudson Valley, my passion has always been to help women feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. From an early age, I experimented with makeup and slowly perfected my craft by using family and friends as my models. I continued to pursue my passion by taking professional classes and assisting other artists in the business. Today, I bring many years of experience and continue to educate myself in the latest makeup trends to meet the various needs of my clients. Based in Dutchess County, NY, 1 specialize in uniquely beautiful and theatrical makeup look's for boudoir photoshoots and i understand the importance of making clients feel comfortable and confident during the shoot. A JOURNEY IN SELF-LOVE, SELF-OWNERSHIP, SELF-RESPECT.
I grew up in a very religious and strict family. I spent about twenty hours a week in church and Crazy, right? Ironically the very conservative "bubble" that I grew up in and its Hyper focus on "modesty" not only objectifies women's bodies but also reinforces the strict rule of gender roles and disregards female sexuality. As a child i was given all of the responsibility to protect my “purity” and none of the tools. I was never taught about my body and how it would change i was never told the biological differences between males and females. I was not given the authority to protect myself. As time went on this power dynamic set me up to develop unhealthy relationships, and to allow myself to be mistreated and abused. I learned the hard way to place importance on my own bodily autonomy, female empowerment, and self ownership.
My journey has taken me to from the bright pastel Sunday school classroom, to a Chicago womens shelter with a 1 year old daughter hiding from an abusive ex, to now…. Creating healing, empowering, fierce art in my Boudoir Studio overlooking the river in the beautiful Hudson Valley
This is one of the reason’s I am so passionate about supporting women and couples on the journey to becoming stronger and more confident, especially in regard to your body, no matter the shape, size, or color.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a boudoir photographer is witnessing the transformation of my clients in just a couple of hours. They come to the studio with insecurities about their bodies and who they are as individuals. When they leave the studio, those same clients are glowing! You do Feel beautiful your skin , you can do that sexy pose… You are POWERFULL, you are STRONG, you are WORTHY you have reason to be proud PROUD, you are ENOUGH!

FINDING CONFIDENCE IN YOUR CURVES
All of my clients come into the studio with something about their bodies they don’t love. No one is immune to insecurities about their body, whether you are a size 2 or size 22. The key is to make sure you don’t let those insecurities take over your entire self-perception. It’s why we have trouble accepting compliments or even appreciating what we have. For most clients, this is the first time in their lives they are seeing how they look through someone else’s eye.
Remember — don’t wait to book a boudoir session because you don’t have confidence in yourself.
